BRE 135 classification reports now available

The official BRE 135 reports are now available and copies may be forwarded on request to customers. The system described in this classification report has been tested and met the performance criteria set in Annex A of BR 135:2013. Please note that these classifications are only valid for the system applied using ALUCOBOND® plus and still need to be accepted by local authorities. For existing buildings it may be used for desktop studies by the BRE.

In addition 3A Composites recommends the use of ALUCOBOND® A2 for buildings > 18 m, to be in compliance with the recently changing requirements of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), responsible for the Building Regulation in the UK. According to these requirements ALUCOBOND® A2 is classified in category 1 as limited combustible with a calorific potential (PCS) < 3 MJ/kg.
