A rear-ventilated curtain wall façade using ALUCOBOND® is a modern, durable and versatile solution for buildings of all kinds. Whether in residential, commercial or industrial construction, façade design using aluminium composite panels creates a vibrant appearance and protects the building structure. This versatile material allows for the creation of individual architectural accents – from elegant, smooth façades to creative, perforated designs.
ALUCOBOND® is a composite panel consisting of two aluminium face sheets and a flame-retardant or non-combustible mineral-filled core; thanks to its low weight, it is suitable for a wide range of architectural applications. ALUCOBOND® combines the characteristics of energy-efficient construction, cost-effectiveness and architectural quality for the curtain-wall system.
Our aluminium composite panels open up a world of design possibilities.
Curtain-wall systems with ALUCOBOND® are an energy-efficient and sustainable solution for new builds and refurbishments. They provide optimum protection against the elements, improve thermal insulation and contribute to a building’s energy efficiency. Our rear-ventilated façade systems offer a wide range of colours, finishes and shapes to create bespoke and long-lasting designs.

ALUCOBOND® façade panels are the ideal solution for sustainable and aesthetically sophisticated construction.
Aesthetic diversity
ALUCOBOND® façade systems offer a wide range of custom design options, with a variety of colours, finishes and fixing options.
Durability
Curtain-wall cladding with ALUCOBOND® is particularly weather-resistant and robust, retaining its quality and appearance for decades with minimal maintenance.
Sustainability
With a recycled aluminium content of up to 89%, ALUCOBOND® panels contribute to environmentally friendly construction. Furthermore, the façade panels are fully recyclable.
Energy efficiency
Curtain-type rear-ventilated façades provide protection against the interior of the building overheating in summer and against it becoming too cold and losing heat in winter. This creates a comfortable indoor climate all year round.
Fire safety
Our façade panels meet stringent fire safety requirements, as they are non-combustible or flame-retardant. This makes them a reliable and durable investment.
Multi-layer system
A rear-ventilated façade is a multi-layered system that protects the building and makes it energy-efficient. It consists of a supporting structure (e.g. masonry), thermal insulation to save energy, an air gap for natural air circulation, and aluminium cladding.
A long-lasting and sustainable solution
The air gap prevents moisture damage, protects against mould and regulates the temperature: in summer it cools the building, whilst in winter it reduces heat loss. This construction method combines protection, thermal insulation and aesthetic versatility – a durable and sustainable solution for modern buildings.

A rear-ventilated curtain wall (RVCW) is a multi-layered external wall construction in which the cladding is installed at a distance from the load-bearing wall using a fixing system. There are various ways to install ALUCOBOND® façade panels. This allows the appearance of the aluminium façade to be customised.
A ventilated curtain wall (VHF) consists of several layers: first, an insulation layer is attached to the load-bearing external wall, followed by a substructure to which the cladding is mounted at a distance from the insulation. An air gap remains between the cladding and the insulation, allowing air to circulate. This rear ventilation ensures that moisture is reliably drawn away, preventing structural damage and mould growth. At the same time, the external cladding protects against the elements, whilst the insulation contributes to energy efficiency.
A curtain wall offers numerous advantages: It reliably protects the building structure from the elements, improves thermal insulation and, thanks to the rear ventilation space, effectively prevents damage caused by moisture and condensation. At the same time, it creates a comfortable indoor climate, reduces energy consumption and meets high standards for fire safety, sound insulation and durability. Thanks to the wide range of design options offered by ALUCOBOND® façade panels, it is also visually versatile and can be tailored to individual architectural requirements.
