Restaurante Mosteiro® do Leitão, Portugal
At the Restaurante Mosteiro® do Leitão in Batalha, the façade shimmers in orange-red tones like the Portuguese sun in August. The triangular tray panels in ALUCOBOND® spectra Cupral might also be a reference to the fire burning beneath the suckling pigs as they are roasted. Suckling pig – Leitão – is the restaurant’s specialty.
The restaurant’s modern exterior design is, in any event, really eye-catching. Viewed from different angles or depending on the position of the sun, new colour gradients appear on the façade and it provides a successful counterpoint to the surrounding landscape where cork oaks and spruces grow
