Grow Hotel, Sweden

At this hotel in Solna near Stockholm, ice and snow create the perfect setting. The silvery Alucobond® tray panels on the building’s façade seem to have been cut from the self-same ice. It looks as though these elements have been stacked to form an enormous, modernistic igloo perched on an ice floe. The folded rectangles are interspersed with floor-length windows at irregular intervals. In the day time, they reflect the cool blue of the heavens; at night warm light shines out from the hotel interior.
