German Façade Award

The German Fachverband für vorgehängte hinterlüftete Fassaden (FVHF) has presented the prestigious German Façade Award 2022 for rear-ventilated/ rainscreen façades to architects and engineers who have attained exceptional design achievements on behalf of their clients/Investors for the fourteenth time .
Until 20 May 2022, architects and civil engineers once again have the opportunity to direct the spotlight onto outstanding projects . A high-calibre jury will select innovative, sustainable façade solutions which combine design, technical and economic advantages in equal measure. On 29 September 2022, the association will present the awards to the winning projects at a ceremony in Berlin.
Projects eligible for participation must have been completed in Germany after 1 January 2020 and before 20 May 2022 and be constructed with rear-ventilated/ rainscreen façades (VHF) complying with DIN 18516-1. The competition terms and conditions are available at www.deutscherfassadenpreis.de. Up to three projects can be submitted online by 20 May 2022. In June, the jury of experts will select a German Façade Award 2022 for VHF and award the accompanying EUR 5,000. Further awards will also have EUR 5,000 prize money.

• Alexandra Wagner (Partner at Allmann Sattler Wappner . Architekten, Munich)
• Reiner Nagel (Chairman of the Board at the Federal Building Culture Foundation (Bundesstiftung Baukultur, Potsdam)
• Nils Nolting (CITYFÖRSTER Architekten, Ingenieure + Stadtplaner, Hanover)
• Oliver Fröhlich (BWM Fassadensysteme GmbH, Leinfelden-Echterdingen)
• Siegfried Moll (Honorary Chairman of the FVHF and Advisory Board, Berlin)
